Henry Fadamiro

Associate Vice President for Research, Strategic Initiatives, Formerly Associate Director and Chief Science Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Associate Dean, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M University

Henry Fadamiro currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Research, Strategic Initiatives at Texas A&M University where in 2022, he transitioned from the Associate Director and Chief Science Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Associate Dean, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He also served as the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Agriculture at Auburn University, Associate Director of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, and Associate Dean & Director of Global Programs.

Henry has served SAAESD and agInnovation in numerous roles, including ESCOP Diversity Catalyst Committee (DCC) chair, SAAESD Multistate Research Committee, SAAESD Strategic Implementation Committee, Southern Region Small Farms Working Group (chair), and Southern Region IPM Center Advisory Board. Further, he has served as an advisor for SERA and Multistate projects and has nurtured 1862-1890 land-grant partnerships between Alabama A&M and Tuskegee universities and Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Prairie View A&M University.

Henry has contributed to the Land-grant system through numerous other leadership roles. He is a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, the African Academy of Sciences, and the Food Systems Leadership Institute. He received a Rhodes Scholarship for his Ph.D.

Dr. Henry Fadamiro earned a Bachelor of Technology in Biology from Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Oxford.
